I’m taking a little time away to hike the Stevenson trail (GR70) in the Cevennes region in south-east France. The GR70 is a long-distance hike that runs about 225 kilometres through the departments of Haute-Loire, Lozère and Gard from Le Puy-En-Velay to Alès. It follows approximately the route taken by Robert Louis Stevenson in 1878.
I’ll be away from June 9 – 22. I’ll post images from the trail here!

Upcoming album – Bile Noir Strotter Inst./Peter Vukmirovic Stevens
We are beginning post-production on the upcoming release of Bile Noir. Final mixes are scheduled for mid-July. Album release is scheduled for this fall.
Christoph Hess (Strotter Inst.) and I have been, for two years, composing an album of music for prepared turntables and piano. These wholly original works are a mix of electronic music, art music and pianistic compositions.

We had a terrific premier of my new work, ILLUSIVE (flute&violin), last night at La Générale presented by INFUSE featuring flutist Tessa Brinckman and violinist Masha Lankovsky.
Panacea – CDs now available!
I am very pleased to announce that my new album, Panacea – three string quartets, is now available both on CD and as a download.
These recordings feature Mikhail Shmidt – 1st violin, Blayne Barnes – 2nd violin, Mara Gearman viola and Paige Stockley – cello.
The players brought a sublime gentleness and a fiery energy to these quartets.
Some moments were like capturing lightening in a bottle.
The album was released on Arpaviva.
